#WeLeadComms: Naren Goteti

India-based communication leader Naren Goteti is today’s #WeLeadComms honoree.

Naren is a senior corporate communications and reputation leader with over two decades of experience shaping trust, clarity and institutional credibility across infrastructure, consulting, and policy-driven organisations.

He currently heads Corporate Communications at L&T Metro Rail (Hyderabad) — the world’s largest metro public–private partnership — where he has architected enterprise-wide reputation systems, executive messaging frameworks, crisis communication governance, stakeholder engagement models and integrated narrative structures across high-growth and high-scrutiny phases of the project.

Under his leadership, Hyderabad Metro emerged as India’s most engaged metro brand on social platforms, achieved marquee national and international visibility including a National Geographic Megastructures feature, and delivered sustained public trust and digital engagement growth at scale.

Earlier in his career, Naren shaped leadership communication and cross-border integration programmes at Deloitte U.S. (India), led international policy, brand and institutional communication initiatives at the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII), and contributed to governance and public systems research through the Administrative Staff College of India and UN Academic Impact platforms.

He is recognised for pioneering life-saving Green Channel organ-transport communication frameworks, award-winning internal culture and employee engagement systems, and nationally recognised CSR and brand leadership programmes.

His work has been honoured with multiple national awards including the Public Relations Council of India (PRCI) Corporate Communication Excellence Award 2025, and The Association of Business Communicators of India (ABCI) recognitions.

A Ph.D. in Journalism & Communications, with leadership development credentials from Harvard Business School Publishing and XLRI, Naren believes communication is a leadership discipline that safeguards trust, aligns institutions and protects public confidence. His ambition is to continue building reputation and communication systems that strengthen governance, transparency and credibility in complex, regulated and global organisations and corporates.
