King David Amo - Portrait

#WeLeadComms: King David Amo

Today, the #WeLeadComms spotlight shines on Ghana-based communication leader King David Amo.

King David is a Corporate Communications and Marketing Lead at Innohub, where he works at the intersection of storytelling, enterprise development, and impact.

With over a decade of experience across logistics, procurement, and communications, he has built a reputation for translating complex development work into clear, human  stories that resonate with entrepreneurs, partners, and policymakers.

At Innohub, he leads communications for programs that have supported thousands of SMEs across Africa. His focus goes beyond visibility: using communication to influence funding  decisions, strengthen partnerships, and drive real business outcomes, while positioning entrepreneurs as builders of economic growth.

He is particularly passionate about bridging the gap between ideas and everyday realities. Whether simplifying sustainability conversations, shaping thought leadership for ecosystem leaders, or designing campaigns that drive action, his approach is rooted in one belief: communications should not be an afterthought, but a growth function.

Beyond his role, King David is building a voice around using communication as a practical  tool for growth, drawing on his experience in startup support to break down business, development, and innovation into clear, actionable insights people can actually use.

Looking ahead, his ambition is to position African-led communications as a global  standard; one that is authentic, impact-driven, and deeply connected to real-world change.
