The Future of Work Index – In Search of New and Deeper Insights

Reading Time: < 1 minute

by Mike Klein:

There have been a lot of surveys about internal communication and workplace trends recently.

So, when I was approached by @LumApps to help design and support its efforts to gain a better understanding of what is going on in the #internalcomms and #employeeexperience spaces at the moment, I wanted to make sure that the survey was focusing on the big issues and trends – and that it covered new ground as opposed to stale topics and persistent complaints.

The Future of Work Index that emerged is exactly that kind of survey.

It’s looking at what’s happening at the convergence of major factors driving organizational performance – adding in a focus on leadership alongside technology and communication.

It’s addressing #AI not only in terms of how it’s being used by #CommsPros, but also the cultural and operational challenges that are shaping its adoption.

And, in a most timely way, it’s seeking to look at the extent to which business culture is changing to reflect the upheaval we are seeing in certain parts of the globe, putting the trends that I’ve been anticipating with Strategic Columnist @Janet Hitchen in our ongoing focus on what she and I are calling “Command & Control 2.0.”

The Future of Work is a joint initiative of @LumApps and #WeLeadComms.
