#WeLeadComms: Giulia Gotti

Latvia-based communication leader Giulia Gotti is today’s #WeLeadComms honoree.

Giulia is the Communications Manager at the Northern Dimension Partnership on Culture (NDPC) Secretariat, an intergovernmental body of the ministries of culture of ten countries promoting cultural cooperation in Northern Europe and beyond. Based in Riga, Giulia manages NDPC’s voice and brand, carrying forward advocacy efforts that strengthen the relevance of the cultural and creative sectors in the region, in close collaboration with 50+ project partners across government, the private sector, and NGOs.

She holds a Master’s degree in Cultural Encounters and Communication from Roskilde University in Denmark and a Bachelor’s degree in Literature from the University of Bologna in Italy. Previously, she worked as an assistant in the Green Transition Policy Group at Copenhagen Business School and in the branding department of the global medical company Coloplast, and she managed programmes at various cultural centres across Italy, Poland, and Denmark. Her roots are in the DIY scene, and she writes freelance about European independent culture, with her work published on international platforms such as Reset! Network, Rural Radicals, and Eurozine.

At NDPC, she leads communication efforts for various international projects focused on cross-sectoral collaboration. NDPC’s project portfolio places a special emphasis on advancing “creative cross-innovations” — activities in which professionals from the fields of culture and creativity export their competences, methods, and approaches to other professional sectors, with arts and culture in public health being one prominent strand.
